Event Details

Acclaimed pianist Tamir Hendelman brings his jazz trio to the University of San Diego for an evening of scintillating originals and jazz standards. Over the course of his distinguished musical career, Hendelman has worked with notable performers such as Gladys Knight, Diana Krall and John Pizzarelli, in addition to being featured on Natalie Cole’s “Still Unforgettable” and two of Barbra Streisand’s recent recordings. In his trio, Tamir explores standards, Brazilian music, blues and his Israeli roots. Fred Eckstein, a writer with LA Jazz Scene, said “(Hendelman’s) playing... is so sensitive, introspective and captivating that you could literally hear a pin drop in an audience of some 500 people."
